Me and the boy. We can often be found like this...by which I mean, him in my arms. I hear "uppie...uppie!" all day long. Gets a bit tiring but I TRY to remind myself that this will not last forever and one day I'll be longing for the days that my kids wanted to be held. Love this kid.

ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful. I remember when my daughter used to say uppie uppie all day long too. Now I am so glad when I get a cuddle or a hug from her and would love to just pull her up onto my lap and love on her. She is 10 and still my little girl but I will always mourn the loss of the early years.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely there with you. I hear "I wanna hold my mommy" so much on a daily basis that my thinking has totally reversed. I know that he means that he wants ME to hold HIM, but I've even said it the wrong way also...because I'm so used to hearing it that way. lol All too soon our lil' people will be these independent creatures that don't need us as much...I cherish each moment! I love this photo of you and your lil' man!
ReplyDeletethis reminds me that just yesterday my almost 7 year old came up to me and said "can i sit on your lap?" well heck yes, i dropped everything and went and cuddled with him on the couch.
